Juvenile Evaluation

Juvenile Evaluation

At Respond and Restore Mental Health, we offer compassionate, comprehensive juvenile mental health evaluations for youth navigating emotional, behavioral, and legal challenges. Whether referred by a school, court, or concerned caregiver, our evaluations aim to understand the full scope of a young person’s mental and emotional health. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, early identification and intervention are critical to preventing long-term consequences and supporting healthy development. These evaluations are particularly essential when mental health concerns intersect with the juvenile justice system or educational accommodations.

What Our Juvenile Evaluations Include:

  • Clinical Interview & Developmental History: In-depth discussion with the youth and guardians to explore emotional patterns, behavioral issues, family dynamics, and academic performance.
  • Mental Health & Risk Assessment: Identification of conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or conduct disorders, along with any safety concerns or self-harm risks.
  • School & Legal Readiness Reports: Clear, professional documentation to support IEPs, 504 Plans, or court-related requirements.
  • Culturally Sensitive & Trauma-Informed Care: Evaluations are approached with empathy and respect for the unique background, culture, and lived experience of each child or teen.
  • Recommendations & Care Coordination: Tailored treatment recommendations, referrals for therapy or psychiatric services, and collaboration with schools, courts, or agencies as needed.

Our juvenile evaluations are designed to be empowering — not just diagnostic. We strive to help young people and their families understand what’s going on, access the right resources, and take meaningful steps toward healing, growth, and resilience.
